Dutch company Heerema Marine Contractors (HMC) has been awarded a contract for the decommissioning and disposal of Fairfiled Energy's Dunlin Alpha topsides in the UK North Sea.
The contract was won in a consortium with AF Gruppen, and covers the removal and disposal of Fairfield Betula's Dunlin Alpha topsides, which weighs about 20,000 tonnes.
The platform is to be removed and disposed of in the period between 2021 and 2024.
