A pair of offshore contractors have submitted updated proposals as they battle it out for a contract to supply a floating production, storage and offloading vessel for Spanish operator Repsol’s $1.1 billion Ca Rong Do (Red Emperor) oil and gas project in Vietnam.

Both companies are Malaysian — the first is Bumi Armada and the second is Yinson.

They are ranked as the fifth and sixth largest FPSO companies in the world based on the number of floaters on contract and on order.
