Saipem and Algerian state player Sonatrach have reached an amicable settlement over a series of long-running arbitration claims.

One of the cases related to an engineering, procurement and construction contract the Italian services company secured in late 2008 for the three-train Hassi Messaoud liquid petroleum gas plant in Algeria.

Another deal was for the construction of the Arzew gas liquefaction plant, with a third being the construction of the LZ2 LPG pipeline and station at Hassi R’Mel and the fourth the construction of a gas and production unit in the Menzel Ledjmet field.
