The on-again, off-again Ibhubesi project picked up speed last December, when Atlantia Offshore and Modec International were asked to submit their SeaStar and Moses TLP designs as part of an early design competition.
Intec Engineering, previously hired by Forest Oil as a consultant for Ibhubesi, is co-ordinating the contest between the two TLP arch-rivals.
Both Atlantia and Modec are to turn in their respective proposals by the end of February.
