Norwegian player Aker Energy’s plan to deploy a floating production, storage and offloading vessel as an early production system on the Beech discovery off Ghana has been cancelled.

The operator had contemplated using the Dhirubai 1 (DB 1) FPSO, owned by Ocean Yield subsidiary Aker Floating Production, on Beech, which straddles the Deepwater Tano-Cape Three Points block and Springfield E&P’s West Cape Three Points 2 block to the north.
