The Russian Natural Resources & Environment Ministry has decided to offer four blocks in East Siberia to potential contenders that are prepared to invest in exploration and appraisal of the acreage, writes Vladimir Afanasiev.
According to a the ministry, the blocks — Biryusinsky, North Baykalsky, Tareysky and Udinsky — are located in the Irkutsk region.
No exploration work has been carried out on the blocks before.
