Four days of negotiations have just wrapped up in Dili over a permanent maritime boundary, although outcomes were not known as Upstream went to press.
East Timor was led in the negotiations by a former nemesis of Australia Peter Galbraith, the UN's former lead negotiator on Timor Sea issues.
Galbraith accepted an invitation by Alkatiri to return to lead East Timor in the maritime dispute.
