Ecuador drew offers for seven of the eight blocks on offer in the country’s Intracampos licensing round this week.
Canada’s Gran Tierra submitted winning bids for three areas and a partnership between Canada’s Frontera Energy and Chile’s GeoPark collected two more.
The round, which featured acreage in the northeastern province of Sucumbios, also saw US-based Flamingo Operating and Uruguay’s Petrobell taking acreage, although evaluation of all of the bids is still continuing.
