Edgo has also snapped up a second Lamu basin licence — Block L14 — this time onshore.
Mauritius-registered Edgo, the upstream unit of a Jordan-based engineering and construction combine, has appointed Xodus Group to organise its work programme and budget.
Edgo managing director Mazen Masri said: “There is a little gravity data left by previous operator (China National Offshore Oil Corporation) on L14, where we actually don’t have to drill for two years, while L26 is far out in the Indian Ocean and way off the grids prepared in earlier years by seismic companies.”
