The long-dormant Damietta liquefied natural gas plant on Egypt's Mediterranean coast is set to resume full production early next year, enabling the country to become a gas exporter following years of supply shortages.
Egyptian government officials told Upstream they had agreed to supply the facilities with the needed volumes.
"We will be sending 750 million cubic feet per day from the first quarter of 2019," an Egyptian Oil Ministry official said.
