The National Energy Board (NEB) ordered the operator to begin hydrostatic testing on the system at three different locations in Ontario and Quebec to “provide the necessary level of confidence” before allowing the 300,000 barrel per day line to start flowing.
The results from three segments must be provided and approved by the NEB before Line 9B can become operational.
