The 28/9-a probe was spudded on 17 May by the Trans­ocean jack-up Galaxy II, which is being managed by Applied Drilling Technology Inter­national.

The well is expected to take 15 to 20 days to reach total depth, with its main objective a Paleocene reservoir at an 
estimated depth of 4400 feet.

Partner Nautical Petroleum said Catcher could potentially hold about 21.8 million barrels of oil.
