Mexican regulators have confirmed to Upstream that they are reviewing development plans filed last month by Italy’s Eni and Argentina’s Pan American Energy to produce from fields won in Mexico’s Round 1.2.
Eni has been open about its favourable results in Contractual Area 1 at the fields of Amoca, Mizton and Tecoalli, having in December boosted its in-place resource estimate to 2 billion barrels, about 90% oil.
