Installation work has begun on the hull of the Coral Sul floating liquefied natural gas treatment and liquefaction unit that will be moored off Mozambique.

First steel was cut last September at Samsung Heavy Industries' yard in Geoje, South Korea, for the FLNG unit, which is bound for the Coral South project.

Italian operator Eni said the hull is expected to be launched in 2020, in line with the planned production start-up of Coral South in 2022.
