ITALY’S Eni has terminated the bidding process for the joint development of its Nene and Loango fields off Congo-Brazzaville, just as the operator was set to select contractors qualified to engineer and construct decks, jackets and piles.
Industry sources told Upstream that Eni has instead decided on separate developments for the shallow-water fields, with Loango delayed by a few months and Nene by a year or so.
