Italy’s Eni has acquired fresh exploration acreage in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as part of a new upstream push into the Persian Gulf region.
The company won an exploration and production sharing agreement (EPSA) covering Block A off Ras Al Khaimah, one of the seven emirates making up the UAE.
The block covers 2400 square kilometres with water depths ranging from 10 to 90 metres.
