Eni is in the market for a rig to drill a high-pressure, high-temperature probe in the Niger Delta.
The Italian player is looking to charter a 2000-horsepower swamp rig able to handle pressures of up to 10,000 pounds per square inch.
According to prequalification documentation, the rig is required to start work next month under a one-year firm contract, which has a one-year extension option.
