Italy's Eni has cheered a pair of discoveries in West Africa with successful wildcats in Ghana and Angola in recent days.
The Akoma-1X exploration well on the CTP-Block 4 off Ghana struck gas and condensates, and was swiftly followed by an oil find at the Ndungu-1 NFW well on Angola’s deep-water Block 15/06.
Akoma-1X has proven an estimated volume between 550 billion and 650 billion cubic feet of gas and between 18 million and 20 million barrels of condensate, Eni said late last week.
