Eni (Lasmo) has approached upstream regulator BP Migas to request incentives for the Krueng Mane gas find, reserves of which are put at 200 billion cubic feet of gas by a Jakarta source.

Indonesia's traditional production sharing contract terms give a 70:30 split for gas projects, with the government receiving the majority take.

The authorities are expected to consider Eni's request as Indonesia desperately needs feed gas for state-run fertiliser companies in the restive province of Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam.
