Floater contractors Bluewater, Nexus, Sevan Marine and Teekay Petrojarl have all recently completed pre-Feed studies for Eni on Goliat, and all four are gearing up to do battle for a challenging order that could be worth close to $1 billion.
Eni officials told Upstream this week that the partners in Norwegian production licence 229, which encompasses the Goliat field, will decide on the concept solution at a meeting set for 18 December.
