Italian major Eni is confident that it can overcome the problems that have hit its Goliat development so far, and insists that it has not given up on expanding its position in Norway by applying for more acreage in future licensing rounds.
Philip Hemmens, who is Eni Norge’s third managing director in four years, said in an exclusive interview with Upstream that the Italian operator has emphasised to Norwegian authorities that it will still apply for more acreage in the country.
