The former president of private US independent EnVen has sued the company over what he alleges is a breach of his employment contract, claiming its chief executive also misled the company’s board over production estimates for this year, writes Kathrine Schmidt.

David Dunwoody, who filed suit in a Houston court, is demanding damages of more than $1 million over benefits he says should have been allotted after resigning for contractually defined "good reasons", which included alleged poor treatment at the hands of chief executive and former partner Steven Weyel.
