Equatorial Guinea has published a full and final list of 27 blocks that will be available in its next licensing round, set to be launched in early April, writes Iain Esau.

The licensing round, covering 25 offshore and two onshore blocks, will be launched at an Association of Petroleum Producers Organization conference in Malabo on 2 to 5 April.

It has been widely flagged that Ophir Energy’s former block R – which was home to the defunct Fortuna floating liquefied natural gas project – will be offered and it is now called EG-27.
