Equatorial Guinea is looking to develop jointly gas condensate discoveries straddling its maritime border with Cameroon now that a final investment decision has been taken by Noble Energy to create a regional gas hub at its Alen field off Bioko Island, writes Barry Morgan.
In 2017, the two countries agreed to develop jointly Noble’s Yolanda and Yoyo gas condensate discoveries and although field unitisation talks with Cameroon stalled, Equatorial Guinea Mines & Hydrocarbons Minister Gabriel Obiang Lima said they “are now going very well”.
