Norway's Equinor has started production from its delayed Nkr37.5 billion ($4.4 billion) Aasta Hansteen development in the Norwegian Sea, writes Josh Lewis.

Equinor confirmed this week that gas from Aasta Hansteen was available to the market after the project turned on the taps on Sunday.

The start-up at Aasta Hansteen also means the Polarled gas pipeline, which crosses the Arctic circle, is on stream.
