Norway's Equinor has signalled that it is preparing a return to exploration in the deep-water US Gulf of Mexico after filing its first exploration plan for the region in nearly four years.
The proposal envisages the potential drilling of up to four wells in the Walker Ridge area south of the Shenandoah discovery, near the area once known as the Monument prospect.
