Norway's Equinor is pressing ahead with plans to charter a large floating production, storage and offloading vessel and contract associated subsea equipment for its giant Carcara pre-salt field off Brazil, with awards expected later this year.
“We have decided to go for a standard design FPSO and integrated subsea contract covering both the production system and umbilicals, risers and flowlines,” said Margareth Ovrum, Equinor executive vice president of development and production in Brazil.
