Equinor’s drilling operation at the Gjokaasen prospect in the Barents Sea may have been the target for Russian jamming of global positioning system (GPS) signals, according to Norwegian police, writes Beate Schjolberg.
Norwegian authorities last year registered a total of six weeks of disruptions to GPS signals in the airspace over the northern county of Finnmark caused by signals sent from the Russian side of the border, Norwegian newspaper Aftenposten reported.
