A final investment decision has been reached for the Hywind Tampen floating offshore wind farm that will help power the Snorre and Gullfaks oil and gas fields in the North Sea and cut emissions from the developments.
Norwegian operator Equinor and its partners, Petoro, OMV, ExxonMobil, Wintershall Dea and Vaar Energi had been waiting on the Norwegian government to confirm its financial support for the project.
