Norway's Equinor has awarded pre-front end engineering and design contracts to two groups for topsides work on a floating production, storage and offloading vessel destined for its challenging Bay du Nord project off Newfoundland, Canada.
It is understood that one group consists of Norway's Aker Solutions and Kvaerner while the other is a pairing of UK-based Wood and Kiewit of the US.
