The jack-up Satti was recently moved out from drydock at the Ersai Caspian yard in Kuryk before work starts on final equipment installation and testing.
The KFELS B Class design rig will be owned and operated by KMG Drilling & Services, a subsidiary of Kazakh state-run KazMunaiGas (KMG).
“We hope that the jack-up rig will be ready within a few months,” sources from KMG D&S said, without predicting a precise date.
