Armed guards have been employed to protect the newbuilding which will soon begin shipping out of a Lamprell shipyard in the United Arab Emirates on a journey taking in the treacherous Gulf of Aden.
Eurasia ordered the LeTourneau Super 116E rig for $210 million from Lamprell in late 2010 and it is near completion at the builder’s Hamriyah facility in Sharjah.
