Chief executive Rob Bryngelson said Excelerate is in talks with half a dozen upstream developers, though only “two or three” of those are serious.
However, he would not give any further details, other than saying they were involved in projects in the Pacific and Atlantic regions.
“For us the challenge is finding the right partner on the other side. It is the smaller producers we see a good fit with, but the problem there is you have to be sure they can produce the gas,” Bryngelson said on the sidelines of the European Autumn Gas Conference in Berlin last week.
