ExxonMobil has farmed in to another prospective licence off Namibia, operated by Paris-based independent Maurel & Prom, as supermajor interest in this frontier oil and gas play continues to grow, writes Barry Morgan.

In a deal with licence partner Azinam, the Dallas-based giant has taken a 30% stake in PEL 44 in the Walvis basin, just months after farming into Galp-operated PEL 82, in the same basin.
