US supermajor ExxonMobil has confirmed that it will power some of its Texas oil and gas operations using wind and solar supplied by Orsted subsidiary Lincoln Clean Energy.
A spokeswoman for the US supermajor told Upstream that it had signed 12-year power-purchase agreements with Lincoln for electricity generated by wind and solar farms.
"We frequently evaluate opportunities to diversify our power supply and ensure competitive costs," the spokeswoman said.
