US supermajor ExxonMobil has started a series of detailed inspections at rigs that were submitted to the company in a tender in June for the charter of a unit to drill a pair of pre-salt exploration prospects off Brazil, writes Fabio Palmigiani.
Industry sources said that in recent week, ExxonMobil carried out technical visits to rigs operated by Seadrill, Transocean, Valaris (formerly EnscoRowan) and Constellation Oil Services.
