ExxonMobil is donating $350,000 to two charities to help with flooding relief in Beaumont and the greater Houston area in the wake of tropical storm Imelda, which swept through south-east Texas recently.

The US supermajor is giving $200,000 to United Way of Beaumont and North Jefferson County and $150,000 to the Greater Houston Chapter of the American Red Cross.

More than 11,000 ExxonMobil workers live in the greater Houston area, with 2400 in the Beaumont area.
