EXXONMOBIL is planning a flow test of the Liza oil discovery off Guyana to better understand the reservoir, with early indications pointing to a potentially world class formation for production.
Executives at US giant Hess, which is partnered with ExxonMobil and China National Offshore Oil Corporation subsidiary Nexen on the discovery, said the players will carry out a drillstem test on the first appraisal of Liza, which is due to spud imminently.
