A C$559 million (US$481 million) bid was submitted by ExxonMobil and partners Suncor Energy and ConocoPhillips for the only parcel on offer in the basin in the province’s latest call for bids.
The Canada-Newfoundland & Labrador Offshore Petroleum Board (CNLOPB) said: “The result for call for bids NL13-01 is the largest bid on a parcel in the history of the Newfoundland & Labrador offshore area.”
