The EnQuest-operated Sullom Voe Terminal (SVT) is located at the northern end of the largest of the Shetland Islands and is one of the largest oil terminals in Europe.

Built between 1975 and 1981 and covering 1000 acres, SVT’s main job is to receive and stabilise crude before it is shipped to market by tankers, which can load at four large jetties jutting out into the inlet, part of the adjacent Sullom Voe Port that is operated by the Shetland Islands Council.
