Seismic outfit FairfieldNodal said it is close to acquiring UK-based marine geophysical services player WGP Group as it looks to expand its technology portfolio.
Texas-based FairfieldNodal said it is in "advanced discussions" with Thalassa Holdings, which owns WGP. No deal value was disclosed.
Privately held FairfieldNodal specialises in marine seismic nodal technology but hopes to become a provider of integrated life-of-field seismic and data services in the coming years.
