Khalid al-Falih, a dynamic US-educated oilman, has replaced long-serving oil minister Ali Naimi in a Cabinet reshuffle empowering a younger generation of technocrats at a time of sweeping economic reforms in Saudi Arabia.

Falih, who is also chairman of state-oil company Saudi Aramco, was quick to point out that there will be no change in the current Saudi oil policy that prioritises market share over measures to prop up faltering oil prices.
