ExxonMobil will start output from its first floating production, storage and offloading unit on the prolific Stabroek block off Guyana earlier than planned, writes Eoin O'Cinneide.

The FPSO Liza Destiny, which is developing the first phase of the giant Liza field, will start up in December as opposed to early 2020, block partner US independent Hess said midweek.

The SBM Offshore floater, which arrived on the field in late August, will produce 120,000 barrels per day of oil.
