UK industry group Oil & Gas UK (OGUK) is warning that a collapse in investment in new developments and stalled exploration drilling has put the UK North Sea oil industry on the “edge of a chasm”.
OGUK said in its latest annual activity survey that the outlook for new spending is dominated by projects that have already been given the go-ahead.
