Operators will now have to pay a tax of $60 per barrel compared with a previous $27.50 per barrel.
According to a governmental resolution signed late last month by Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, the tax privilege for six fields was scrapped on 1 August.
The largest of them, the Alinskoye field with reserves of about 220 million barrels of oil, is being developed by Surgutneftegaz.
