Akura is based in Nadi, and holds a 100% interest in Blocks OEL 1/2009, OEL 2/2009 and OEL 3/2009, which were granted on 21 August 2009 for five years.
Since then, Akura has carried out a detailed petroleum data recovery exercise, and has reprocessed, digitised and reinterpreted previous seismic data.
It has also looked at data from past oil and gas exploration, including drilled wells and reported seeps.
