Burntisland Fabrications (BiFab) in Scotland has insisted it has a long-term future after a financial deal was struck to avoid it entering administration, writes Rob Watts.
Management at the offshore contractor, which said last week it had filed for administration amid cash flow problems, met trade unions and workers this week after a rescue agreement was reached with its customers and the Scottish government, safeguarding hundreds of jobs.
