Cheniere Energy has confirmed that its Corpus Christi liquefied natural gas export facility in the US state of Texas has begun producing LNG.
The first train of the facility started producing LNG at about 7:30am local time on Wednesday, a Cheniere spokesman told Upstream.
The spokesman would not comment on the timing of the first cargo to be exported.
The facility is the first LNG export facility in Texas and the third in the Lower 48 to produce LNG.
