The non-profit charitable group Oilfield Helping Hands will host its annual Saltwater Fishing Tournament next month in Texas to raise money for oilfield workers facing tough financial circumstances.

The two-day event takes place on Thursday and Friday, 21-22 June, in Port O’Connor, 150 miles (240 kilometres) south-west of Houston.

Since its founding in 2003, Oilfield Helping Hands has provided more than $4 million to oilfield families “in financial crisis due to no fault of their own”, the organisation says.
