Five heavyweight international contenders have submitted bids to state-owned Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) in a tender covering the provision and installation of major subsea field infrastructure for its S1 and Vashishta development off India’s east coast.

Competing in the tender are a consortium led by Abu Dhabi-based National Petroleum & Construction Company (NPCC) with Switzerland-headquartered Allseas; a consortium involving Malaysia’s SapuraKencana and Italy’s Saipem; and a grouping of US engineering giant McDermott with India’s Larsen & Toubro (L&T).
